SPECIAL NEEDS SPOTLIGHT: CHEROKEE ROSE

In addition to offsetting medical costs for special needs pets, our foster program helps animals who struggle to thrive in a shelter environment. Cherokee Rose is a 9 year old dog who was helped through our foster program.

Cherokee Rose was surrendered to our local shelter in Bloomington, Indiana with a mass on her leg. The mass was cancerous, but was able to be removed. The surgery was paid for through our foster grant. She may need an amputation for the best chance for the localized cancer to be removed completely. Most dogs bounce right back after an amputation with no issues.

Cherokee Rose is a fun and gentle dog who is looking for a home. If you would like to meet her please contact our local Indiana shelter here: Bloomington Animal Shelter
